Mackie Myers is recruiting a Director of Supply Chain for a growing food business. This is a confidential leadership opportunity with responsibility for building a more scalable, efficient and data driven supply chain operation.

The role will oversee planning, procurement, inventory, logistics and external manufacturing relationships while partnering closely with operations, finance and commercial leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end supply chain strategy and execution
• Oversee demand planning, supply planning and inventory management
• Manage procurement, suppliers, logistics partners and external manufacturers
• Improve service levels while controlling inventory and working capital
• Develop supply chain reporting, forecasting and performance metrics
• Lead S&OP or similar cross functional planning processes
• Identify capacity constraints and create appropriate contingency plans
• Negotiate with suppliers and external operating partners
• Improve systems, processes and data visibility
• Build and develop the supply chain team

Candidate Profile

• Significant supply chain leadership experience within food or consumer goods
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, procurement, inventory and logistics
• Experience managing manufacturers, suppliers and third party logistics providers
• Commercial understanding of margins, working capital and cost reduction
• Experience implementing or improving S&OP processes
• Strong analytical, systems and leadership capabilities
• Comfortable working in a growing and evolving organization

The final base salary will depend on experience, qualifications and the scope of the successful candidate’s background
