Mackie Myers is partnering with a growing food and beverage company to recruit a Director of Operations. This confidential role will lead the day to day operational performance of the business while building the processes and infrastructure required for future growth.

The position requires a practical operator who is comfortable working across manufacturing, supply chain, fulfillment, systems and commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day operational execution across the business
• Improve service levels, efficiency, cost control and operational visibility
• Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing and logistics teams
• Establish clear operational procedures and performance metrics
• Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Support capacity planning and new product launches
• Manage external manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners where relevant
• Partner with finance on budgets, forecasts and operational reporting
• Build, coach and develop operational teams
• Support wider strategic and company growth initiatives

Candidate Profile

• Senior operations experience within food, beverage or consumer goods
• Broad understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing and fulfillment
• Experience improving processes in a fast growing environment
• Strong commercial and financial understanding
• Comfortable using data to identify and resolve operational issues
• Strong leadership and cross functional communication skills
• Willingness to remain close to day to day execution

The final base salary will depend on experience, qualifications and the scope of the successful candidate’s background.
