The Director will be responsible for safety, quality, output, labor, cost and continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
• Lead day to day manufacturing and production activities
• Deliver production targets across safety, quality, service and cost
• Improve labor productivity, throughput and manufacturing efficiency
• Develop production schedules in partnership with supply chain
• Lead continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
• Partner with quality, maintenance, engineering and R&D
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing scale up
• Manage manufacturing budgets, headcount and performance metrics
• Improve standard operating procedures and operational discipline
• Build and develop plant leadership and production teams
• Significant manufacturing leadership experience within food production
• Experience leading a complex, regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production planning, labor management and plant performance
• Knowledge of food safety and quality requirements
• Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong people leadership and change management skills
• Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor
• Engineering, food science, operations or related degree preferred
The final base salary will depend on experience, qualifications and the scope of the successful candidate’s background.
