Mackie Myers is partnering with a growing manufacturer in a highly regulated consumer products industry is seeking a
2nd Shift Production Supervisor to support daily packaging operations and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring packaging activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
About the Role The ideal candidate will have experience in an FDA regulated industry such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic/personal care or other regulated manufacturing environments and possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day leadership and support to production personnel while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in implementing new prouduction processes, equipment improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Coordinate production activities to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Ensure accurate shipment preparation, pallet verification, and production documentation.
- Help develop and achieve department goals, KPIs, and performance objectives.
- Drive production quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across operations.
- Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and productivity gains.
- Partner with Quality, Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, performance management, and ongoing feedback.
- Assist with performance reviews and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and special assignments as needed.
Qualifications - 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetics, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build accountability, and drive results.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality systems, and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout a shift.
